🍷What Does an Oak Barrel Really Do to Wine? Let’s Find Out—Together
June 28, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm PDT

Join Us for One of the Most Distinctive Tastings Ever Offered at Coeur de Terre
Saturday, June 28 | 1–4 PM (Pacific)
This isn’t just a tasting — it’s a deep dive into the art and science of winemaking.
In 2024, our Owner and Winemaker, Scott Neal, set out to demonstrate an amazing aspect of wine: How does the origin of oak shape the flavor of wine? His idea? Take wine from a single fermenter, then age it in four French oak barrels — all from the same cooper (Tonnellerie Sirugue), but each made from wood sourced in four different forests across France.
The result is extraordinary:
Four wines. Same grape, same vintage. Completely unique expressions.
At this exclusive side-by-side tasting, you’ll explore how subtle variations in forest terroir influence a wine’s spice, texture, mouthfeel, and aromatics. Scott will guide you through the flavors, the story, and the soils — literally. As part of the experience, you’ll also get a tour of our on-site soil trench, exposing the diverse layers and geology beneath our 100-acre certified organic estate.
🌿 In-Person at Coeur de Terre — Saturday, June 28 | 1–4 PM Pacific ONLY A FEW TIX LEFT!
Enjoy this guided tasting in our vineyard setting with access to Scott’s winemaking insight and hospitality.
